Adamans Review: Moissanite Chains, Prices and Catches

Adamans sells moissanite tennis, Cuban and Monaco chains from the UK. We check real prices, materials, the placeholder policy and returns before you buy.

An iced-out chain used to mean choosing between a mined-diamond price tag and a cheap piece that turned your neck green. Adamans sits between the two. The UK brand, which says it started in London in 2018 or 2019 (its own pages give both dates), sells men’s jewellery set with moissanite, a lab-grown gemstone that sparkles like diamond and costs far less. Adamans moissanite pieces come with a GRA report and a lifetime warranty. There are also lab-grown diamond and cheaper simulant lines. The prices are attractive, but some of the small print needs reading first.

What does Adamans actually sell?

Chains are the core of the range. The 3mm Moissanite Tennis Chain in silver, D colour and VVS1 clarity, costs $349.99 for a 16-inch length (12.4 carats) and rises to $386.99 at 24 inches. The matching 5mm Moissanite Tennis Bracelet costs $295.99 to $325.99. Heavier statement pieces include the 8mm Moissanite Cuban Link Chain at $649.99 to $689.99 and the 20mm Monaco Chain at $689.99 to $719.99. The Cuban Moissanite Ring is $193.99.

Lab-grown diamonds with IGI certificates cost much more: from $1,078.99 for a 3mm tennis bracelet and $3,130.99 for a 3mm tennis chain. At the other end, simulant pieces such as the 5mm Diamond Tennis Bracelet cost $122.99. Despite “Diamond” in the name, it is set with diamond simulants and is 14k plated rather than solid gold. Read the stone type in every listing.

Is Adamans moissanite worth the money?

The stones are the strongest part of the offer. Moissanite scores about 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, does not cloud over time and passes most handheld diamond testers. Adamans lists its stones as D colour with GRA reports, and chains are stamped with their carat weight.

The metal needs more attention. Several listings titled simply “Silver” describe 18k white gold plating with PVD reinforcement, and the brand says its stones are set in “solid .925 silver or high performance alloy base”. Separate “925 Silver” and “18k Vermeil” versions of the same designs cost more: the 3mm tennis chain is $484.99 in 925 silver and $767.99 in vermeil. Check the base metal before you compare prices. Every listing also shows a crossed-out higher price, so judge the selling price on its own.

Why might your Adamans order arrive in two parts?

This is the most important point to understand before buying. Adamans’ help centre says select moissanite pieces ship in two stages: first a cubic zirconia (CZ) placeholder you can wear, then the VVS moissanite piece with its GRA report within four to six weeks. Moissanite product pages still list a “Free Placeholder Of Each Moissanite Piece” under what is included. A badge says placeholders “ship first on all orders before 1st September” without giving a year.

The shipping policy is milder. It says a placeholder is only used when stock runs out, that you can choose to wait instead, and that you can return the placeholder for a full refund before the moissanite ships. Before ordering, ask hello@adamans.com whether your piece is in stock. If you need it for a set date, assume the real stones could take six weeks.

The help centre also still says genuine pieces are sold only at adjewellery.co.uk. That address now redirects to adamans.com, so it appears to be an old domain rather than a warning sign.

What are the delivery and returns terms?

In-stock US orders ship from the US warehouse in one to two business days, with free tracked delivery over $100. UK standard delivery by Royal Mail Tracked 48 is free over £100, and EU orders over €100 ship free with duties paid. An older shipping page on the site still shows different thresholds, so check the figures at checkout.

Returns are strict. You have 14 days to request a refund, with a 15% restocking fee and no free label, or 90 days for a fee-free exchange or store credit. Moissanite pieces are final sale, despite an “Easy Returns” badge on the product pages. Lab diamond, custom, solid gold, earrings and grillz orders cannot be returned, and orders cannot be cancelled. The lifetime warranty is good, though: it covers broken clasps, loose stones and tarnishing, with repair or replacement.

Who should buy from Adamans?

Adamans suits buyers who want a big look for a few hundred dollars and are sure of their size. A 3mm tennis chain or a Cuban ring is a sensible first purchase. Measure carefully using the size guides, confirm stock and the metal before paying, and keep the protective film on until you are certain. With that done, Adamans offers a lot of sparkle for the money.
